The National Capital Area Chapter of the International Transplant Nurses Society first Chapter meeting was on October 7, 2010. Members are from health care institutions in Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington DC including INOVA Fairfax, Kaiser Permanente, Georgetown, Walter Reed, and Washington Hospital Center.
